Jessica Brant is an Associate Lawyer at Benmor Family Law Group. Jessica received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from York University. She received her Juris Doctor at the University of Ottawa.
Jessica has a strong interest and commitment to children. With years of experience in legal aid and child protection, Jessica understands the importance of a child’s well-being amidst the challenges of separation. Jessica is particularly interested in advocating for children with special needs by assisting the parents through separation.
Jessica is Mohawk from the Tyendinaga Territory (Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte First Nation). She supports her community by providing legal advice and guidance to those in need. Jessica has a Mohawk Language and Culture Diploma from Queens University. Indigenous knowledge, teachings and values help guide all aspects of her life.
Jessica was honoured as the recipient of the 2024 Emerging Excellence Award by the Toronto Lawyers Association.
Outside the office, Jessica enjoys spending time with her three children, personal fitness and engaging in her traditional Mohawk cultural practices.
Jessica is proficient in English and is actively regaining her Mohawk language with a goal of proficiency.
